Are you looking to kick-start your career in sales? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Sales Executive to join a busy sales team based in Edenderry. This role offers structured training and hands-on experience, setting you up for a promising future in commercial sales.

Your New Job:
As Trainee Sales Executive, you’ll report directly to the Head of Sales and work closely with colleagues across multiple departments. My client is looking for someone to work 18 months in operations before they move into sales. This is designed to provide you with practical, in-depth knowledge of the industry through comprehensive on-the-job training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of pig meat processing and industry standards

  • Develop knowledge of product options and value-added activities

  • Learn commercial processes including sales negotiations, account management, and sales administration

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and visits

  • Support in achieving sales targets, margin goals, and price compliance

  • Participate in production planning and collaborate with logistics to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Manage sales orders, confirm pricing, and assist with credit and finance documentation

  • Log and follow up on customer complaints, and identify new business opportunities

What Are We Looking For?:

  • Eagerness to learn and develop in a commercial environment

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good numerical ability with attention to detail

  • Ability to negotiate and research

  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks

  • Some previous business experience preferred

  • Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field

  • Farming/food background desirable
