This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to become a qualified Mechanical Automation Maintenance Fitter, working with a well-established organisation. You’ll gain invaluable experience across machinery installation, maintenance, and repairs, all while supported through a structured four-year apprenticeship.
Your New Job:
You’ll be a key part of the maintenance team, reporting to the Maintenance Manager, on a permanent contract that extends beyond your apprenticeship. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role (40 hours per week, 8am-5pm). You’ll receive comprehensive training across multiple phases, both on and off the job, with additional support during your off-site modules.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
- Support with planned and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
- Help in updating records, data entry, and producing performance reports
- Work with on-site fitters on projects, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Carry out daily repairs and maintenance tasks, including risk assessments
- Accurately record maintenance activities in the management system
- Communicate clearly and work effectively with your team
- Must be aged 16 or over and have completed the Junior Certificate
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask, stay flexible, and pick up new duties as needed
- Safety-focused with great timekeeping and a tidy work approach
- Positive attitude and alignment with team values
