Production Manager
Purpose of Role
A flexible team player responsible for coordinating, communicating, and managing day-to-day production activities to ensure efficient operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and ensure on-time delivery of customer orders in coordination with Planning.
  • Liaise with Logistics and Purchasing to ensure material availability.
  • Produce weekly and monthly operational reports for the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with cGMP, SOPs, Health & Safety, and training requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with validation standards and requirements.
  • Lead investigations and ensure timely closure of PIRs and deviations.
  • Support QA/QP in audit preparation and management.
  • Review, approve, and maintain manufacturing and maintenance SOPs.
  • Create, review, and approve Master Batch documentation.
  • Set daily production targets and manage performance against KPIs.
  • Analyse production metrics and lead root cause/corrective actions for missed targets.
  • Maintain compliant and safe production areas.
  • Drive team performance and motivation to achieve output targets.
  • Optimise resources, including headcount planning with Operations Manager.
  • Monitor and reduce waste across production.
  • Manage yield, efficiency, cycle time, and throughput with shift supervisors.
  • Approve overtime in coordination with Operations Manager.
  • Ensure timely completion of staff appraisals and training reviews.
  • Support recruitment and workforce planning.
  • Ensure budgets are followed and expenditure is justified.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Support validation activities including IQ/OQ documentation.
  • Ensure smooth cross-departmental communication to meet production schedules.
  • Review TMS requirements weekly.
