Matrix Recruitment are working alongside our client for a great opportunity for an IT professional to step into a Systems Administrator role in Kildare. If you’re ambitious and ready to advance your career, this position offers room to grow and take on more responsibility.

Reporting to the CFO, you’ll take charge of daily IT operations, focusing on system reliability, security, and performance. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead infrastructure projects, resolve complex tech issues, and manage vendor relationships. There’s genuine scope for this role to develop into an IT Manager position for a motivated candidate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all IT and computer systems.
  • Act as the primary contact for IT support across the organisation.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software, hardware, and network systems (including mobiles).
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, repairing or replacing components as needed.
  • Ensure device security with antivirus and firewall updates.
  • Maintain current technical documentation.
  • Plan, organise, and evaluate IT and data operations.
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures.
  • Safeguard data security, network access, and backups.
  • Audit systems and analyse results.
  • Manage vendor relationships and take part in ISO 27001 audits.
  • Handle IT budgets and drive cost-effective solutions.
  • Adhere to quality, environmental, and health & safety standards.

What Are We Looking For?:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT administration or a similar position.
  • Strong technical management and analysis skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer hardware and software systems.
  • Experience with networks and network installation.
  • Relevant degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
