What You Need to Know:
Looking for a part time role as an Accounts Manager?
Matrix Recruitment are partnering with a well-established transport/logistics company based in Cashel. This role begins with a full-time focus (4-6 weeks) to help get the finances in order, then transitions into a part time position with hybrid working options.
Your New Job:
As the Accounts Manager, you’ll lead on monthly accounts and processes, working directly with the business owner and small team. The role starts onsite in Cashel with the option for greater flexibility and remote work after the initial project phase.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of monthly management accounts and P&L reporting
- Track and analyse costs, revenues, and overall expenses
- Process invoices, reconcile accounts, and establish robust financial controls
- Liaise with external accountants as needed
- Maintain up-to-date records using Surf Accounts software
- Find opportunities for savings, especially in shipping costs
- Advise and support the owner in setting up practical financial processes
- Manage payroll and expense procedures
What Are We Looking For?:
- Strong experience in accounting, management accounting, or bookkeeping
- Comfortable with wide-ranging SME finance duties
- Knowledge of transport/logistics is a plus
- Experience with accounting systems (Surf Accounts an advantage)
- Detail-oriented, pragmatic, and able to work independently
- Confident communicator with business owners
