Matrix Recruitment are partnering with our client for a Nursing Home Administrator based in Waterford. This role is ideal if you enjoy working in a customer-facing administrative position and want to make a positive impact within a supportive setting. You’ll be involved in a range of responsibilities—reception, HR admin, finance, and resident engagement—ensuring the smooth running of daily operations.

In this position, you’ll report to the Person in Charge or their delegate. You’ll be the welcoming first point of contact for visitors and residents while providing essential support with HR and finance admin, handling queries, and assisting with special projects. Flexibility around working hours is important due to the nature of the environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage reception duties, phone calls, enquiries, and provide a professional welcome to all visitors
  • Guide prospective residents and families, conduct tours, and assist with information on funding processes
  • Support HR functions: maintain staff records, schedule assessments, and help with onboarding
  • Process invoices, manage petty cash and financial documentation, and prepare financial reports
  • Distribute post, newsletters, and communication materials to residents promptly
  • Collaborate on sustainability initiatives and maintain high standards of hygiene and compliance
  • Assist with projects, marketing, and administration as required

What Are We Looking For?:

  • Qualification in Business, Administration, or Marketing (or working towards one) is desirable
  • Previous administration experience; healthcare or residential care background preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Time Management Systems (TMS); Altura experience a plus
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail, professional attitude, and flexible approach to work
