What you need to know

An innovative and growing medical device company in Co. Roscommon who provide their clients with bespoke and high-quality medical device products is currently seeking a Project Engineer.

The Project Engineer will report to the Business Unit Engineering Manager.

This is a permanent position, working week Monday – Friday.

 

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities.

  • Provide support across various manufacturing processes.

  • Lead initiatives to improve processes, aiming to reduce costs and enhance efficiency through data analysis.

  • Manage and lead projects for the introduction of new products, incorporating new processes as needed.

  • Conduct validations for processes and products.

  • Implement changes in products, processes, and materials through validation, change control, and updated documentation.

  • Gain expertise in different processes to work across multiple product lines.

  • Adhere to the standards of the quality and environmental management systems.

  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree at Level 8 or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Ideally, 3 years of experience in engineering within the medical device manufacturing sector.

  • Knowledge of medical device validation protocols and associated documentation is preferred.

  • Practical experience in executing validation protocols is required.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solid Works is beneficial.

  • Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Solid foundation in process engineering.

  • Previous involvement in new product introduction is desirable.

  • Strong team player with the ability to work autonomously.

  • Skilled in collaborating with diverse teams, such as quality assurance, production, and supply chain.

  • Competent in scheduling, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485 standards.

  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
