What you need to know

A well-established law firm based in Carlow is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their busy and growing conveyancing and probate team.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, fully onsite.

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to solicitors.
  • Handle audio typing of correspondence, legal documents, and briefs (70+ wpm).
  • Prepare and file legal documentation and maintain accurate client records.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, and external parties professionally.
  • Maintain and update case files using a case management system (Evolve experience an advantage).
  • Assist with diary management, e-filing, and general office administration.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary in a busy general practice.
  • Strong knowledge of conveyancing and probate processes.
  • Excellent audio typing skills (70+ wpm).
  • Experience using a case management system; Evolve desirable.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
