What you need to know

An innovative and growing company that is renowned for manufacturing high-quality health and personal care products, is seeking an experienced and committed Process Engineer to join their team in Co. Kildare.
 
As a Process Engineer, you will report to the Manufacturing Manager on-site and work with them collaboratively to enhance production capability, automate operations, drive cost savings and qualify new products.
 

This is a permanent role with an excellent salary and package. 

 

Your new job

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to take charge of business-related challenges and help keep site operations running smoothly. 

  • Play an integral role within the Manufacturing function which combines innovative leadership with people management and technical development in an advanced lean engineering environment. 

  • Develop the department strategy for further digitisation and continued automation of the operation to improve manufacturing output.

  • Lead and develop your junior engineering colleagues and Technicians to deliver improved production capability and technical mastery, automate operations, innovate and drive cost savings and qualify new products. 

  • You will be given full autonomy in your role from the beginning and will have the opportunity to shape the director of manufacturing operations on site.

What are we looking for?

  •  Hold a degree in engineering or another relevant technical discipline

  •  2-3 years of experience in an Engineering role in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods industry or similar manufacturing environment.

  • Possesses strong technical and analytical skills that enable you to successfully implement change and drive long-term innovation and cost-saving improvements.

  •  Leadership qualities. Will demonstrate the ability to engage a department organisation consisting of both day and shift individuals.

  • Strong communicator (oral and written) who can influence others in a positive manner and communicate theories, concepts, and instructions in a concise manner.

  • Strong team player who can work on cross-functional teams to achieve collective goals.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills coupled with the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively.

  • Previous people management experience is an advantage but not essential.

  • Technical mastery – an ability to master principles of mechanical and electrical equipment and be able to participate in Maintenance and repair activities.
