Job description

Matrix Recruitment is seeking an Operations Manager for our Engineering client based in Co. Laois.
 

This is a senior leadership role where you will oversee the delivery of major civil and infrastructure projects nationwide, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and performance across all teams.



Your New Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operational delivery of multiple projects — ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Manage and mentor project managers, engineers, and site teams to drive performance and accountability.
  • Oversee resource planning, supply chain, and subcontractor management.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Irish HSEQ standards (CIF, ISO, HSA).



What You Need:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Chartered Engineer status an advantage)​​​​​

  • 10+ years’ civil or infrastructure experience, including senior operations or leadership roles

  • Strong knowledge of Public Works and NEC contracts and Irish regulations.

  • ​​​​​​​Excellent leadership, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
