What you need to know

You will work as a Financial Controller for our client, a highly successful and established food/agricultural facility based in Tipperary.

You will be responsible for all accounting activities, and you will support the senior management team in the decision-making process.

You will also have a significant role to play in system/process improvement and will work closely with the IT manager.

 This role is permanent with a very attractive financial package. A hybrid model for work will be available after completion of probation period.

You will report to the CEO, be part of the senior management team and manage a small finance team. You will also present to the Board.

 

Your new job:

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Produce and present the monthly management information pack to include financial and management accounts, commentary on variances and KPIs.

  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts and update the strategic plan.

  • Build strong communication channels with the managers.

  • Manage AP, AR, payroll, credit control, cash flow, and banking.

  • Develop and drive product line profitability on a key set of financial KPIs.

  • Work closely with all external parties (insurance, legal, suppliers, auditors).

  • Prepare year-end financial statements and present to the auditors.

  • Implement a new finance system that supports the decision-making process of the business.

  • Prepare standard process costs for the different product families.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified Accountant with 6+ years’ experience.

  • Strong software package experience.

  • Excellent Excel and system skills.

  • Lean experience particularly in agri, food, and service sector.

  • Commercially focused.

  • Ability to build relationships at all levels.
