Your New Job:
As Environmental Manager, you’ll report directly to the site General Manager and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental performance on site. You will play a key role in developing, managing, and maintaining environmental and sustainability initiatives as part of the senior team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement environmental policies and management systems across the site
- Support and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and keep up to date with Irish and European regulations
- Liaise with external bodies such as regulatory authorities and public organisations
- Monitor emissions and manage reporting in line with licensing requirements
- Oversee the operational management of the site’s wastewater treatment plant and support the team
- Track electricity and water usage to promote energy management
- Coordinate pollution control, waste management, recycling, and conservation initiatives
- Lead sustainability reporting and continuous improvement projects
- Support project management for environmental equipment installations
- Take part in audits and site inspections
- Qualification in a field related to Environment and Sustainability Management
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and compliance
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- Able to work independently, innovate, and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
