You will work as a Financial Accountant for our client, a successful manufacturing company based in Co. Clare. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a great company and finance team.

As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for assisting the Financial Controller with month end duties. This job will ideally suit someone who is newly qualified.

This is a permanent onsite job.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Analyse manufacturing costs and comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

• Monthly reporting of p&l, sales versus budget, cost of sales and analysis of variances.

• Post journals, creating and posting Accruals , prepayments , Analysis of costs

• Preparation and reconciliation of Cashflow

• Assist in Annual Forecast

• Assist in preparation for available grants

• Assist in the preparation go monthly management accounts,

• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

• Active involvement in the day to day running of the business

• Ad hoc projects as required

What are we looking for?

• Ideally a recently qualified accountant or someone near completing the professional exams

• At least 2- 3 years’ work experience in a finance department within manufacturing.

• Some exposure to cost accounting would be a strong advantage.

• Exposure to process improvements, and cost saving projects.

• Have the capability to deal with and solve problems and issues in the correct manner.

• Ability to work on own initiative and to required deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.

• Proven ability to see projects through from start to finish.

• Excellent administration and organisational skills
