Our Offaly based client is seeking an Electrical-Maintenance Technician to join their team.

Your new job

This position is a permanent position. The position will be on a Monday to Thursday 08:00 AM-4:30 PM position with a 2:30 PM finish on a Friday. There will be an on-call rota on a 6-weekly basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance on fixed/mobile plant assets in line with health, safety, and quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, FEMAS, Irish Revenue).

• Provide technical expertise to minimise downtime and optimise asset performance.

• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Record all maintenance activities using the site’s CMMS (IFS) for tracking and reporting.

• Support site strategy, production planning, and engineering projects.

• Participate in on-call rota for out-of-hours support.

What are we looking for?

• Time served electrician, in an industrial maintenance function

• Multi-skilled in mechanical engineering with evidence of cross-training.

• Working knowledge of H&S legislative requirements and Continuous Improvement techniques.

• Full Irish driving licence.

• Understanding of plant instrumentation, pneumatic systems and associated controls.

• Experience of working within a manufacturing team background.

• A demonstrable track record providing engineering solutions across a variety of complex machinery and equipment.
