Due to continued growth and significant investments in their highly automated facilities, Our Longford based manufacturing client is seeking a Design Manager to join and lead their in-house design team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee design programs, ensuring alignment with client contractual agreements.
- Handle all technical aspects of the business, addressing both internal and external queries.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to provide technical expertise and value engineering during the tender process.
- Partner with the Production Manager to ensure manufacturing information meets production requirements and drive process improvements where needed.
- Lead and manage the in-house design team, setting clear targets and tracking progress.
- Foster and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key customers across Ireland.
- Ensure all design activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with client design teams and external consultants on active projects.
- Work closely with site teams to address and resolve project-related queries.
What we need from you
- experience in Timber Frame or modular build design.
- Exposure to People Management possess the ability to mentor junior members of staff
- Proficient in AutoCAD software.
- Knowledge of Digital Project Delivery principles.
- Develop drawings for new and existing projects.
- Ability to read and understand architectural/engineering drawings.
