What You Need to Know:
Matrix Recruitment are seeking an Accounts Assistant to be part of a dynamic and supportive finance team within a well-established organisation located in Carlow.
Your New Job:
As the Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting both daily and month-end finance activities. You’ll work closely with other team members to ensure accurate financial processes and reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations across multiple currencies
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain the fixed asset register and capital expenditure records
- Post monthly depreciation journals
- Compile weekly KPI reports for management
- Prepare VAT and VIES returns
- Manage inventory control tasks and support system standard cost updates
- Assist Accounts Payable and Receivable activities
- Help with monthly management accounts and statutory accounts preparation
- Support both internal and external audit processes
- Carry out other accounts-related tasks as needed
What Are We Looking For?:
- 2-3 years’ experience in accounts administration
- Accountants Technician qualification (or in progress) is advantageous
- Experience using an ERP package
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical abilities
- Team player who works well independently
