Accounts Assistant  Co. Roscommon

Join  our  client a leading Irish company, recognised for excellence in its sector, and play a key role in their Finance Team as an Accounts Assistant on a 10-month maternity cover.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside the  Chief Financial  Officer and gain hands-on experience, develop your skills, and contribute to a growing and dynamic business.

Monday to Friday - Hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process fortnightly payroll accurately, including deductions and compliance with legislation.
  • Manage Revenue activities, including RPNs, payroll submissions, ERR, and VAT/PAYE returns.
  • Reconcile general ledger transactions, bank accounts, and payroll data.
  • Assist with month-end journals, management accounts, and year-end statutory accounts.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and prepare audit files.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure accurate billing and payments.

Person Specification & Qualifications:
  • Accounts Technician qualified, or part-qualified
  • IPASS qualification or equivalent is desirable
  • Minimum 2 years’ payroll and accounting experience in accounting practice or industry
  • Ideally proficient in Brightpay, MS Excel; ERP experience an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
