Matrix Recruitment are recruiting for a Yard Operative to join their leading environmental client in Co. Kildare

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity as part of an active site crew that plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety, order, and smooth flow of on-site activities.

Hours include 37.5 per week across Monday to Friday with some Saturday work

Your New Job

• Carrying out routine maintenance and tidiness of external workspaces, ensuring the site remains safe and organised.

• Responding quickly to issues as they arise, and reporting any incidents or equipment faults to your line manager.

• Always following health and safety regulations, including proper use of protective clothing and safe equipment handling.

• Standing in for weighbridge or entry-point staff as needed — including logging vehicle movements and managing payment or documentation processes with care and accuracy.

• Acting professionally and respectfully when dealing with site visitors, delivery drivers, and team members.

• Taking part in regular performance reviews and being open to feedback to support team goals.

What We Are Looking For

• Some previous experience (1–2 years preferred) in a site-based, manual labour, or operations role.

• Basic safety training (Manual Handling required; Safe Pass is helpful but not essential).

• Confidence in speaking and writing in English, which are essential for safety and operational communication.

• A flexible working attitude and the ability to support multiple tasks in a physically active environment.

• Familiarity with waste, logistics, or facilities operations is an advantage, though not a requirement.
