A growing company within the forestry industry based in Co. Offaly, is seeking an Accounting Technician to join its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in a fast-paced finance function who is eager to learn and develop their career.

This is permanent, full-time role, working Mon-Fri onsite.

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage daily banking and reconcile transactions.

• Maintain up-to-date ledgers and records using Sage or similar software.

• Raise customer invoices and support credit control activities.

• Reconcile supplier statements and purchase orders.

• Monitor and allocate departmental costs.

• Support monthly financial reporting and assist with audit preparation.

• Input payroll data and help with PAYE, VAT, and RCT filings.

• Provide admin support for social media and other internal initiatives when needed.

• Ensure financial data confidentiality and compliance with internal policies.

• Assist with general finance and office administration tasks as needed.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Business, Accounting, or similar.

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance team.

• Proficient in Sage 50 and Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Self-starter with the ability to work to deadlines.
