Our client, a Longford based manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

This position will be responsible for all Mechanical issues on the Production Line and ensuring optimum efficiency.

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reactive to Mechanical issues on the production line

• Repair Production orientated equipment, conveyors, packaging systems, gearboxes and hydraulics.

• Closely monitor machine performance

• Complete PMs in adherence to PM schedule and keep all maintenance work logged and reported

• Work cross functionally with Production Supervisor and Manager in handovers and highlighting issues/resolutions

• Contributing to Engineering briefings

What are we looking for?

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering

• Exposure to Manufacturing orientated to high-speed packaging/processing highly desirable

• Experience in Maintenance systems Pemac/CMMS

• Have a good knowledge of Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Welding, Fabricating and machining.

• PLC Experience an advantage
