Matrix is recruiting for a Waste Collection Vehicle Operator for their established Environmental client based in Kildare

This is a full-time, permanent position offering long-term career potential for reliable and safety-conscious individuals who enjoy active, outdoor work and being part of a close-knit team

This is a physically active, team-based role with regular hours and strong job security.

Your New Job

• Supporting daily collection runs by assisting with the handling and return of waste bins for both business and residential customers.

• Ensuring collection points are serviced according to guidelines, including managing contaminated or non-compliant bins appropriately.

• Assisting drivers during routes, including navigation support and acting as a guide during vehicle reversing when required.

• Recording operational information where needed and maintaining punctual attendance at the start of shifts.

• Engaging with the public in a respectful and professional manner while upholding workplace health and safety standards.

• Flexibly supporting other operational areas depending on business needs.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, or a physical, hands-on role (experience in waste services is a plus).

• Basic safety training such as Manual Handling (Safe Pass is an advantage but not essential).

• Solid communication skills, with fluent English required for both verbal and written tasks.

• A strong work ethic, flexibility, and a reliable attitude toward teamwork and safety.

• Eligibility to work in Ireland
