Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Technology Audit Project Leader for our client in the financial services sector based in Dublin (hybrid working available). 

As the Audit Project Leader you will undertake technology audits across business functions. You will be responsible for ensuring that audit work is performed to a high standard while following a risk-based approach. You will join the EMEA Technology Audit team which sits within the Global Operations and Technology Audit group within Internal Audit. The EMEA Technology Audit team acts as a partner to the EMEA business audit teams in performing business and technology integrated audits and assessing technology environments that are specific to the region.

This is a 6-month contract role with some opportunity for extension. Daily rate will depend on experience.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Work on a range of audit projects independently or as part of a larger team throughout the planning, fieldwork, and reporting audit phases

  • Lead audits as required, including overseeing and reviewing the work of others

  • Show initiative and seek opportunities to apply data analytics during audit testing

  • Demonstrate willingness to query business clients and colleagues in Audit to understand the underlying processes and procedures necessary to evaluate the control risks

  • Leverage business knowledge or experience to complete audit work to a high standard and identify control gaps

  • Effectively communicate with senior stakeholders in Technology and the Business, both verbally and in writing, and engage in continuous monitoring activities

  • Take steps to remain up to date on the changing Technology Risk landscape, and show initiative by using this knowledge during audit planning activities

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant critical thinking specialty such as MIS, DIS, Computer Science, Mathematics preferred. MBA, CPA, CFA or related certifications preferred

  • Advanced degree (PhD) in Math, Statistics, Physics, Economics or Engineering preferred

  • Relevant Technology Audit / Risk related certification such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

  • Prior experience in Audit or the relevant specialty area preferred

  • Additional core skill requirements include understanding of the applied and interpretation of analytics results for Audit, critical thinking and problem solving.
