Our client is an industry-leading manufacturing facility based in Longford.  Due to ongoing project requirements, they are now seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
Your new job
As a Supply Chain Planner, you will work as part of the Planning Team and be responsible for sourcing and ordering raw materials and packaging based on MRP requirements. You will play a vital role in ensuring material availability, maintaining supplier relationships, managing inventory reporting, and supporting supply chain operations to meet production demands.
Supply Chain Planner Responsibilities:

• Act as a, ensuring weekly ordering of raw materials and packaging in line with MRP system requirements

• Monitor and manage the availability of materials and packaging to support production plans

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; keep accurate records of lead times, purchasing terms, and order quantities

• Ensure the accuracy of data within MRP systems and support necessary planning adjustments

• Provide regular inventory level reporting and contribute to materials-at-risk and obsolescence processes

• Participate in daily Planning & Logistics meetings as a key Supply Chain Planning representative

• Coordinate supplier delivery bookings to ensure on-time availability of materials for manufacturing schedules

Supply Chain Planner requirements:

• Experience in a Supply Chain Planner, Materials Planner, or Production Planning role is essential

• Strong Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office Suite skills

• SAP ERP experience is highly desirable

• Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines

• Strong communication skills to collaborate across functions and with suppliers
