​What you need to know

Our client, a leading multinational, that offers specialised services to the medical devices and pharmaceutical industry is currently seeking a Service Engineer to join their team.
As a Service Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Maintenance Manager and be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failures, repairing, and calibrating equipment, and supporting the installation of electro-mechanical, and PLC systems.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production lines.

  • Troubleshoot, repair or refurbish standard and special purpose equipment and systems components.

  • Perform administrative duties to ensure effective planning, utilisation, and required paperwork completion.

  • Communication of daily work changes to Customers Operations departments and complete service reports.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers by communicating daily activities.

What are we looking for?

  • A Senior Trade Qualification or a Diploma / Degree in Engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of electromechanical/electric principles including PLC control.

  • Ability to demonstrate a proven track record in servicing and maintaining electro-mechanical PLC-controlled systems and products.

  • Strong communicator (oral and written) who can build strong working relationships with external stakeholders.

  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Strong team player who can work well with others to achieve collective business goals.

  • Strong problem skills and a methodical and logical approach to overcoming challenges.

  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.

  • Hold a full Irish driving license, as you will be required to travel to customers’ sites.
