What you need to know

Our client a well renowned and respected hotel based in Co. Roscommon are seeking a Senior Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Technician.

In this role you will be reporting to the General Manager, where you will be involved in prioritising and liaising with management on what maintenance is required for the hotel.

This role is Monday to Friday operating 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. There will be an expectation to undertake out of hours calls if necessary.

Included in the package is access to the staff canteen, pension contribution and subsidised health care.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities include:

  • Communicate effectively with Management Team on daily tasks to ensure maintenance requirements are prioritised and completed for the hotel

  • Detailed inspection of electrical systems, products, components, and applications

  • Deal with all electrical, plumbing, heating, and other maintenance issues daily

  • Ensure equipment is operational following Manufacturing instructions and hotels procedures

  • Compile and complete Reports in relation to planned preventative maintenance

  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors

  • Carry out procurement research for new equipment and existing parts

  • Always adhere to all Health and Safety Guidelines

 

What are we looking for?

  • Degree/Diploma in an Engineering/Health and Safety discipline with an extensive knowledge of electrics, heating, and plumbing’s

  • Electrical trade qualification would be desirable

  • Previous experience in a Senior Maintenance Technician role for a large building facility is a must

  • Strong in Admin and prior knowledge of using MS Office daily and carrying out detailed report writing

  • Extensive knowledge in Health and Safety regulations

  • The ability to showcase a proactive and motivated approach to their work

  • Experience in communicating effectively with other departments
