Practice Accountant – Recently Qualified
I am partnering with a dynamic and growing accountancy practice based in Galway to recruit a Recently Qualified Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong, motivated accountant to advance their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
What You Need to Know:
Join a modern, client-focused practice delivering statutory accounts, tax compliance, payroll, and advisory services across diverse sectors in Ireland. You will work closely with senior staff and partners, gaining broad exposure and responsibility.
Your New Job – Recently Qualified Accountant:

  • Prepare and finalise annual financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

  • Prepare income tax, corporation tax returns, VAT, PAYE submissions, and management accounts

  • Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and support onboarding

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Irish accounting standards and Revenue compliance

  • Participate in training, CPD, and assist senior staff with technical research and advisory projects

  • Support process improvements and mentor junior team members where appropriate

What We’re Looking For:

  • ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified with 1+ year post-qualification experience in Irish practice

  • Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, tax legislation, and Revenue processes

  • Proficient with accounting software (Surf, Sage, Relate, Thesaurus, ROS) and Microsoft Office

  • Excellent client communication skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Detail-oriented with high personal accountability for quality

Desirable:

  • Experience with cloud accounting tools like Xero, AutoEntry, QuickBooks

  • Exposure to sectors such as medical, retail, or hospitality

  • Interest in developing advisory and client-facing expertise
