Matrix Recruitment is partnering with a well-established not-for-profit organisation in the disability sector to recruit an Area Services Manager for a permanent, full-time role based in the Munster/South Leinster region.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader in health or social care to step into a dynamic, values-led environment focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred services.
Salary: €59,542 – €77,403 (based on a 40-hour week) + €2,000 on-call allowance
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent

Your new job

As Area Services Manager, you will have operational and governance responsibility for a network of designated residential, day, and supported living services. You’ll ensure services meet all quality, safety, and compliance standards, while fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and person-centred support.
Working as part of the National Operations Team, you’ll report indirectly to the Senior Management Team and collaborate closely with local service leads and the Head of Services.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for multiple services across a regional network.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with HIQA and safeguarding legislation.

  • Promote continuous quality improvement and person-centred care.

  • Lead operational teams, performance management, and talent development initiatives.

  • Manage budgets, KPIs, service planning, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Conduct unannounced visits and contribute to service audits and reports.

  • Drive implementation of strategic changes and national service priorities.

  • Champion best practices across safeguarding, documentation, communication, and governance.


What are we looking for?

  • Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Nursing, Psychology, or a related Health/Social Care discipline.

  • Postgraduate qualification in Social Care Management or a relevant management field (desirable).

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the disability sector.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management/supervisory role in health or social care.

  • In-depth knowledge of HIQA regulations and the wider legislative framework.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional team management skills.

  • Flexibility to travel across the region and manage multiple priorities.

  • A genuine commitment to delivering inclusive, person-focused services.
