Our client is a leading healthcare business operating across Ireland and the UK. They are currently recruiting a Cleaner (Decontamination) to join their Community Care Services team based at Rathcoole, Co. Dublin.

This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, regulated healthcare environment that supports both personal and professional development.


Your New Job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Unload, clean, decontaminate and inspect returned healthcare equipment.

  • Test and identify equipment requiring repair or maintenance; escalate or facilitate repairs as needed.

  • Complete all cleaning and testing procedures in line with internal SOPs and regulatory standards.

  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.

  • Maintain high housekeeping and hygiene standards within the decontamination facility.

  • Comply with all company, EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), quality, and customer-specific requirements.

  • Assist other departments during peak periods or as required.

  • Participate in training sessions and emergency response teams (e.g. fire safety, first aid).

  • Support cross-functional teamwork and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


What Are We Looking For?

  • Previous experience in a similar cleaning or decontamination role, preferably in a service or warehouse environment.

  • Comfortable working in a busy, process-driven setting (goods in/out, pick/pack, dispatch).

  • IT literate with the ability to complete digital and paper-based records accurately.

  • A full, clean driving licence is required.

Additional Information:

  • Working hours may include shift work and out-of-hours availability as part of operational requirements.

  • You will be expected to attend internal and external training courses relevant to the role.
