What you need to know
Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst – Transformation & Innovation to join our client, a global financial services organisation based in Dublin or Limerick.

In this role, you will be a key player in driving change by gathering and translating business requirements to support the delivery of innovative, enterprise-wide solutions.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and enhance product functionality, supporting the transformation goals of the business.

This is a 12-month contract position with some potential for extension. The role offers a hybrid working model.

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Gather and document business requirements in line with agile methodologies.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment of requirements.
  • Contribute to defining the requirements management process, including traceability and change control.
  • Collaborate with development teams and product owners to support solution delivery.
  • Support testing activities, including test planning, documentation, and defect resolution.
  • Attend and contribute to agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain awareness of current and future product goals and contribute to shaping product vision.
  • Help manage exception processes and support effective incident resolution.

What are we looking for?
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a business analyst role, ideally within financial services or related industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit, document, and communicate complex business requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across teams.
  • Exposure to lean/agile methodologies is essential.
  • Understanding of process and data modelling concepts.
  • Stakeholder management experience at various levels of the organisation.
  • Familiarity with IT architecture principles and a customer-centric approach to delivery.
  • Knowledge of fund accounting is an advantage.
