A leading and innovative packaging company in Galway that is going through a period of exciting growth is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and have the opportunity to manage the company’s Quality management system. You will ensure that Quality Systems are maintained to the highest of standards and ensure the quality of all products are safeguarded.

This is apermanent role with an excellent salary and package.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities include:

• Manage and coordinate all elements of the Quality, Environmental and H&S systems

• Ensure compliance and continuous improvement of the QEMS and H&S System.

• Manage ERP transactions i.e., returns from customers, and returns to suppliers, etc

• Point of contact for all customer queries/requests related to Quality & Environment.

• Quality Control within the Manufacturing process.

• Inspection of outgoing products and associated paperwork and provide COCs to customers.

• Host and perform audits with external bodies.

What are we looking for?

• A relevant degree in Engineering, Science, or another relevant discipline.

• A minimum of three years in a quality position in a busy manufacturing environment.

• Capable of taking a hands-on approach in a live Operational environment.

• Interact well with cross-functional teams within the business.

• Competent in ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.

• Excellent communicator and can write in a clear and concise manner.

• Able to operate MS Windows applications and customized programs.
