Quality Engineer
Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing organisation, is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join their operations in Cavan. This is an excellent opportunity to work in high-performing production environment focused on continuous improvement and quality excellence.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality controlled documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and records in line with ISO management systems.
  • Conduct internal audits and support ongoing compliance with quality standards.
  • Proactively review, improve, and optimise systems and processes to ensure consistent adherence to established requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation across all relevant areas.
  • Collaborate closely with production and operational teams to ensure quality procedures are followed and to implement updates arising from quality reviews.
  • Perform inspection and testing activities across products, components, and manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with defined specifications and standards.
  • Monitor and support compliance with health and safety requirements throughout the manufacturing environment.
  • Investigate reported quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyse manufacturing and quality data using statistical methods and prepare reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external parties, including suppliers and customers, on quality-related matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.

Requirements
  • Degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing quality role.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and observational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative and autonomy.
  • Proven problem-solving capability with a structured approach.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and results-focused.
