What you need to know

Our client who are based on the Cavan/Fermanagh border are seeking a Programming Engineer to join their team.

In this role you will be reporting directly to the Engineering manager on-site and will be working alongside the Controls System Engineer. You day to day will contribute to the wider goals of the client ensuring future environmental compliance, improving plant efficiency, reducing Co2 reduction space and overall driving energy reduction across the plant.

This role is a Permanent opportunity. Operating on a Monday to Friday basis with the working hours 08:00-5:30 with a 4PM finish optional on a Friday.

 

Your new job

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support the commissioning of equipment including instrumentation, motors, control panels and their associated control gear/MCC’s, and PLC. Fault finding, repair, maintenance of equipment including instrumentation, motors & associated control gear and equipment.

  • Involved in the creation and implementation of a dedicated maintenance regime which in turn will reduce downtime.

  • Predictive monitoring of all mechanical and electrical plant item to reduce failures.

  • Provide technical support for the Control Systems.

  • Follow all company guidelines and manufacturing regulations attentively.

  • Remain Health and Safety conscious in there day to day approach.

What are we looking for?

  • A level 8 degree in engineering Is a must.

  • 2-3 years’ experience carrying out similar duties in a manufacturing setting with a large emphasis on decreasing the plants carbon footprint Is strongly desirable.

  • Knowledgeable on electricals and instrumentation.

  • Willing to get hands on in the day-to-day duties.

  • Lead and show example in reaching the companies targets and wider goals/plans.
