Your New Job:
As the Production Planner, you’ll play a key part in developing and managing production schedules based on customer demand and sales forecasts. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Procurement, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Sales. This is a hands-on role that involves regular interaction with various departments to ensure on-time delivery and optimal workflow.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
Coordinate with Procurement to secure raw materials and components
Monitor inventory, working with Stores to avoid shortages or overstocking
Liaise with key teams to align production priorities
Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements
Track and report on key production metrics (KPI, efficiency, downtime)
Keep ERP/MRP systems updated with accurate production data
Expedite urgent orders and manage changes to schedules
Support ongoing improvement projects within planning and manufacturing
What Are We Looking For?
2+ years’ experience in a production planning role within manufacturing
Experience in engineering, mechanical, or industrial manufacturing is a plus
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
Confident communicator with cross-functional teamwork skills
Advanced Excel skills desirable
Familiarity with Lean principles and/or SAP would be advantageous
