Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Private Equity Team Lead/ Senior Consultant to join a leading financial services organisation based in Limerick.

This is a full-time 6-month contract position with a good possibility of extension or permanent opportunities arising. 

The role offers a hybrid working model.


Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Act as a senior member of the team within the private equity fund accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
  • Review and oversee the production of Net Asset Valuations (NAVs) and client reports, ensuring quality and compliance with service standards.
  • Coordinate daily workloads, monitor team performance, and ensure adherence to internal and client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for audits and client queries.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to team members, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation and system optimisation projects.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and delivery of strategic goals, including collaboration with offshore teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of private equity markets, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

What are we looking for?
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Experience in Private Equity, Private Capital, Real Estate, Fund Accounting, the property industry or similar financial reporting functions.
  • Proven mentorship skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on client service.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with fund accounting systems is a distinct advantage. Investran experience advantageous.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
