Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Private Equity Fund Accountant to join a leading financial services organisation based in Limerick.
This is a key role within the Fund Accounting team, supporting the administration and reporting of Private Equity Funds. The position involves close collaboration with clients, auditors, and internal teams to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of fund accounting services.
This is a 9-month contract with some possibility of extension or other opportunities arising. The position offers a hybrid working model.

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality accounting and administration services to assigned clients.
- Act as a point of contact for clients and auditors, addressing queries and supporting audits.
- Ensure client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are consistently met.
- Assist with the preparation of regulatory returns and compliance.
- Calculate and issue NAVs accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Manage the accurate and timely processing of operating expenses.
- Support new client onboarding, including establishing fund structures and reporting requirements.
- Prepare and collate financial data and reports for board packs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, investors, and other stakeholders regarding fund activities.
What are we looking for?
- Experience working in fund accounting, ideally with private equity.
- Experience preparing management accounts and working with debits and credits.
- Understanding of the Irish regulatory/tax regime relating to fund accounting desirable.
- Knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP, or IFRS an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word essential.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
