Our client, a leading food distribution company, is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join their team in Longford. This is a key leadership position responsible for driving efficiency, supporting a nationwide workforce, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of coordinating and supervising a team of 5 operations staff, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and delivered on.
  • Manage end-to-end workforce processes including hiring, induction, scheduling, and day-to-day deployment.
  • Act as the main point of contact between operations, administration, and IT support to maintain smooth communication and workflow.
  • Oversee the planning and distribution of 200+ weekly operational hours, maximising output and resource efficiency.
  • Ensure consistent service delivery across a workforce of 150+ employees working across 100+ nationwide sites, supported by a floater team.
  • Track, review, and report on operational performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Key Requirements:
  • Proving experience in operations/logistics coordination.
  • Previous experience leading a small team (4–5 people) in an operations, logistics, or scheduling capacity.
  • High proficiency in IT/Excel.
  • Highly organised with strong planning skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Comfortable working across multiple functions, from administration and workforce planning to on-the-ground operations.
