My client, a well-established Irish owned company that has built up a long-standing entity in Co. Offaly is looking to recruit a Mechanic for their site.

You will report to the Manufacturing Manager, and you will work with them on the maintenance of plant, machinery, and vehicles on the site.

This is a permanent role with excellent salary and benefits.

Your new job

• Responsible for servicing and repair of mixed and plant machinery

• Regularly Assist in preventative maintenance checks on machinery on site

• Carry out breakdown cover for mixed and plant machinery

• Ensure that the workshop and workplace is clean and in an organised manner

• Provide a proactive approach in working with other departments to achieve the company’s targets and objectives

• Conscientious and compliant in relation to health and safety guidelines

• Proactive in identifying/nullifying potential issues which could lead to breakdown of machinery

What are we looking for?

• Ideally will have 4/5 years Mechanical background in Transport, Logistics or Haulage

• Mechanical experience in a Waste Industry environment is a distinct advantage

• Certified Mechanic, apprenticeship must be completed

• Good level of written and verbal English

• Manual Handling and Safe pass would be advantageous

• Must provide a flexible and proactive approach in the workplace
