Job description

An innovative and progressive company that is renowned for manufacturing high-quality health and personal care products, is seeking an experienced and committed Maintenance Fitter to join their team in Co. Kildare.

The company’s manufacturing processes consist of high-tech electrical, robotic and mechanical production lines and includes product making, injection moulding and packing.

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and work in multidisciplinary teams to execute the company’s planned maintenance programme, reduce downtime, improve OEE and seek to continuously improve equipment reliability.
 

This is a permanent role with an excellent salary and package.
 

Your new job

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Support Manufacturing operations to deliver company safety, quality and throughput objectives.

  • Drive a systematic approach to loss elimination and build increasing capability in the Manufacturing teams against existing and revised standards.

  • Support the maintenance team in identifying and implementing cost reduction programmes.

  • Lead the planned maintenance work on a weekly basis.

  • Provide support to the manufacturing department for the introduction of new products and processes.

What are we looking for?

  • Senior Trades Cert in a mechanical trade.

  • A minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience in a regulated environment.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a track record of root cause identification.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.

  • An excellent communicator (oral and written) who can influence others in a positive manner.

  • A strong team player who works well in cross-functional teams to achieve collective goals.

  • Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

  • Experience with Packaging equipment is desirable but not essential.

  • Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office, SAP, Power BI, 3D printing and Solid works.
