Talent Acquisition Specialist

What you need to know:
Our client with their head office based in Waterford are currently recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the team.

Your New Job:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible to lead recruitment across all functions, clinical, administrative, and management. Requiring strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, and the ability to effectively match candidates with job opportunities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for clinical roles (including Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Orthoptists and Nurses), as well as administrative and management positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and deliver effective sourcing and selection strategies.
  • Manage job advertising, direct sourcing, and recruitment campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Conduct talent mapping and market research to support workforce planning and hiring decisions.
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience and act as a professional ambassador for the organisation.
  • Support international recruitment, including Critical Skills Visas, professional registrations (IMC, NMBI, CORU), and relocation.
  • Ensure recruitment activity is compliant with relevant regulations and GDPR.
  • Track recruitment metrics and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a healthcare-related discipline (desirable).

  • 5+ years’ experience in healthcare recruitment or talent acquisition.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare roles and regulatory requirements; ophthalmology experience is an advantage.

  • Proven experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and social media sourcing.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple vacancies in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with Smartsheets is an advantage.
