You will work as a Logistics Administrator for our client, a leading flavour manufacturing company in Wexford
This is a Permanent position.  Excellent salary on offer for the right candidate. 

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Support fulfilment strategies using sales forecast, inventory reports, financial analysis, and other sources to achieve the optimum balance between warehousing, fulfillment, freight costs and delivery time to customer
  • Support and assist with supply chain programmes to improve supply chain efficiencies
  • Support Customer Service Representatives with customers, sales, and suppliers to improve performance, products and services, or operational solutions (e.g., freight and handling estimation, optimal supplier, load consolidation and distribution carrier selection)
  • Support Customer Service Representatives in managing customer issues ensuring effective communication internally, and help facilitate in development of corrective actions, and follow up to ensure close out of issues
  • Support Customer Service Representatives in the processing of orders for goods and services with business partners, customers, suppliers, and company associates, either through direct telephone contact or other electronic means
  • Liaise with customers, production planners, operations, and quality assurance
  • Performs other tasks, analysis and special projects as assigned
  • Support Logistics team in managing and maintaining all relevant documentation ensuring that information is current, supporting the Company programmes, safeguarding, and protecting all the Company information and property
  • Receiving – unloading, inspecting, receiving, sampling, and locating all ingredients, packaging and finished product that arrives at the plant
  • Production support – ensuring continuous supply of ingredients and packaging to production and filling lines. Support shipping and receiving
  • Shipping – Inspecting, counting, and loading outbound shipments, completing all paperwork, preparing shipment samples & bracing loads
  • Inventory management - Organising cycle counts, complete reconciliations, monitor inventory transactions & continually sort out inventory issues as they arise
  • Inspect facility – to assure adherence to safety and operating policies and good manufacturing practices using Company policies and procedures
  • Safeguarding and protecting all Company information and equipment

What are we looking for?

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent 
  • Qualification in Logistics and Transport would be an advantage
  • Experience working in a related role in a Food/Beverage/Pharma environment i.e., warehouse/manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge/experience in the transport of dangerous goods and ADR regulations
  • Experience in traffic coordination and transport scheduling
  • Business proficiency in English 
  • Excellent PC skills and spreadsheet experience
  • Excellent documentation skills, multi-taking and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities
  • SAP experience an advantage
  • Excellent approach to Customer care including excellent telephone and listening skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Good aptitude for FLT driving
  • Comfortable working in a challenging environment and the ability to drive constant improvement
  • Organised, methodical, tidy and the ability to work in a controlled and structured way
