We are currently seeking a Legal Services Manager for our client, based in Co. Offaly

This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid WFH policy.

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the legal team in supporting the business in the delivery of strategic projects, business developments

Your new job

Key duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for a multi-year title registration programme to ensure resolution of all title issues in advance of planning for strategic projects.

  • Manage the legal work programme of strategic projects in the business to deliver projects in line with the business unit’s objectives.

  • Support and participate in the negotiation of key commercial and procurement contracts and land and property transactions, leases, and licences.

  • Take a proactive approach in finding solutions to overcome obstacles and in the management and mitigation of risks.

  • Draft and review commercial agreements and liaise with external counsel on specialist matters where required.

  • Assess governance requirements and obtain necessary approvals, draft appropriate documents, and provide advice on general corporate governance issues.

  • Advise the business on legal issues affecting all aspects of their activities and recommend appropriate courses of action.

  • Participate in the preparation of annual and project budgets and resource plans.

  • Promote a culture of high performance, empowerment, and accountability.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified Solicitor.

  • 10 years PQE plus 5 years in a managerial role.

  • Experience in title registration and understanding of complex title issues will be a clear advantage.

  • Track record in managing and leading teams in a project focused environment and managing all legal and governance aspects of large projects /transactions and delivering efficient and measurable services.
