Your New Job
- Act as the main point of contact for IT support across the site, helping users in person, over the phone, and remotely.
- Set up, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and other tech equipment.
- Install and update software, troubleshoot everyday technical issues, and ensure systems are running smoothly.
- Support new employees with IT onboarding and manage access for staff changes.
- Maintain and update user accounts, email settings, and company devices through standard systems.
- Keep track of IT equipment and software using internal asset management tools.
- Assist with routine checks on data backups, software patches, and security systems.
- Carry out basic network tasks such as updating device settings or making minor configuration changes.
- Support internal communication tools including phones, video conferencing, and collaboration platforms.
- Help maintain scanning devices and other business-specific systems used across the site.
- Contribute to larger IT projects, such as upgrades and system improvements, including occasional out-of-hours work.
- Develop knowledge of internal software systems to offer more targeted support as needed.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure IT solutions meet business needs.
- 3+ years’ experience providing technical support or working on an IT service desk.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Windows operating systems and core Microsoft technologies.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365, user administration in Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.
- Comfortable working with virtual infrastructure, including platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.
- Confident in supporting Apple iOS devices in a business context, including setup and troubleshooting.
- Some exposure to cloud-based services such as Microsoft Azure, particularly Intune and Azure ARC, would be beneficial.
- Proven experience with device deployment, hardware maintenance, and general infrastructure support.
- Certifications like MCSA or CCNA would be an advantage but aren’t mandatory.
- Eager to grow and develop in the role by learning new systems, especially internal business software and ERP platforms.
