What you need to know

One of the world’s largest medical device companies that is at the forefront of developing new medical technologies is currently seeking a dynamic and driven Project Manager for a 12-month contract in Galway City.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the development and successful delivery of a new enterprise print system used in high-tech manufacturing areas. You will be tasked with standardising and improving the efficiency of labelling operations and printing.

This is a 12-month contract that offers hybrid working.

Your new job

  • Responsible for planning, initiating, monitoring, and prioritizing information technology projects and process improvement initiatives and facilitating successful, on-time and within-budget execution.

  • Set clear objectives that align with defined practices and policies that will enhance the organization's internal information systems performance and facilitate the adoption of new technologies and systems.

  • Collaborate and work closely with other departments in order to understand and address the organization's technical challenges and business needs.

  • Support the day-to-day activities for multiple workstream teams through managing project plans, resourcing, status reporting, resolving issues, identifying project risks and accountability for deliverables across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • Establish meaningful metrics and track the progress of the project against them.

  • Responsible for project performance, risk management, administration, financial management, budgeting, and conflict resolution.

What are we looking for?

  • A Level 8 degree in Engineering, Science, IT, Business or another relevant field.

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar position with a large company in a regulated manufacturing.

  • Proven track record in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics.

  • Ability to gather detailed information and analyse and investigate information to understand and rectify issues.

  • A pragmatic individual who can modify programs and processes to keep projects on schedule.

  • Excellent communicator who can lead meetings with internal and external customers and vendors.

  • Strong problem solver who overcomes challenges by effectively gathering information, influencing others positively and collaborating with internal staff and vendors.
