What you need to know

Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting for two Graduate Engineers (Polymer / Chemical engineer and mechanical engineer) for our client based in County Cavan and they specialise in building materials Manufacturing.

Their graduate program is thoughtfully designed to provide hands-on experience across various manufacturing technologies, offering full involvement in both operational and strategic areas of the business, including production, quality assurance, engineering, and product development.

This is a permanent position working Mon- Fri 08:00 AM -5:30 PM and a 4PM finish on a Friday.

 

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and adjust processing equipment on the manufacturing line to ensure optimal performance.

  • Collect, analyse, and record accurate data, ensuring compliance with established procedures.

  • Conduct research and development, running trials to create new products that enhance the existing portfolio while following ISO standards.

  • Manage and maintain various Management Systems to ensure compliance with Irish, British, and European Product Standards, customer requirements, and third-party certifications.

  • Work closely with the purchasing department to secure high-quality materials from external suppliers.

  • Set and uphold standards for quality, health and safety, and environmental practices.

  • Carry out internal audits, propose improvements, and collaborate with the production team to implement necessary changes.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Hold at least a 2:1 honour degree and have an interest in developing your skills in this critical specialism.

  • You will be supported in CPD learning and encouraged to become chartered.

  • Must be able to demonstrate a flexible attitude, have the ability to work on their own initiative, make decisions, set and achieve targets and prioritise workload.

  • Knowledge of Polyurethane Foam production is desirable but not essential.
