Our client, a highly successful and well-established global organisation are currently seeking a Finance Manager for their facility in Waterford.

Your new job

You will be responsible for the financial accounting reporting function for a number of different entities and will report to the European Financial Controller. This is a contract role (18 months) with a strong salary and excellent benefits package.

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation of balance sheets, P&L statements and other financial statements and reports for various legal entities.

• Review the accounts, identify issues and resolve.

• Prepare the management report for review with the European Financial Controller.

• Liaise with all legal entities and ensure accuracy of financial information.

• Liaise with external auditors on audits and statutory reporting.

• Responsible for ensuring the successful day to day finance operations including employee expenses, cash management and payroll.

• Use Lean to drive process improvements.

What are we looking for?

• Qualified Accountant (5 years’ p.q.e)

• Strong background in GL Accounting and European VAT.

• Excellent organisational, time management and admin skills.

• Strong commercial acumen, eager to learn and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent working knowledge of SAP.
