Matrix Recruitment is currently seeking an Engineering Manager on behalf of our established manufacturing client located in Co. Westmeath.

The Engineering Manager is a vital member of the Plant Management Team, responsible for providing leadership and support across various engineering functions including Process and Project Engineering, Maintenance, Moulding, Tooling, and Automation

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Offer technical and engineering leadership on both product and process matters.

• Supervise, lead, and develop a diverse team of engineering professionals supporting production.

• Prioritize, plan, and schedule all engineering work, fostering a proactive culture within the team.

• Implement robust systems to enhance the reliability and repeatability of manufacturing processes.

• Utilise data-driven approaches to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement in process performance.

• Establish and maintain an effective engineering and maintenance management system, following best practices to achieve organizational objectives.

• Provide substantial support for New Production Introduction (NPI) programs.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree at Level 8 in Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a similar field.

• At least 5 years of experience in Plastics or Medical Devices manufacturing.

• Ideally skilled in Project Management with a proven history of delivering successful projects and a strategic mindset.

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, and managing people.

• Exhibited professionalism and mastery, skilled at cultivating robust relationships.

• Capable of thriving in a dynamic work environment, ensuring the team remains aligned with business objectives.
