Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit an- EHS Specialist for our client, based in South Tipperary region.
Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Contribute to organizational development objectives.
- Manage Environmental, Health & Safety Policy, and Risk Management.
- Support Head of Operations in meeting statutory obligations and fostering a safe workplace.
- Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to H&S standards and programs.
- Oversee Site Environmental Health and Safety System.
- Complete and review risk assessments, implementing findings.
- Document and investigate incidents, ensuring recommended improvements.
- Manage H&S logs, corrective actions, and adverse event reporting.
- Provide expertise on various H&S topics.
- Report on EHS risks, KPIs, and trends, recommending continuous improvements.
- Conduct internal audits, site inspections, and manage waste regulatory aspects.
- Degree in Health and Safety.
- Minimum two years' experience in Occupational Health and Safety and Environment.
- Experience in heavy industry or food manufacturing.
- Excellent attention to detail, technical writing, and MS Office skills.
- Knowledge of factors impacting health and well-being and H&S regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
