This is a permanent 4-day role (30 hours per week) offering flexibility around start and finish times.
The position will be based on-site for the first six months, with the option of a hybrid arrangement thereafter.

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the company’s financial management including cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management accounts.
- Prepare P&L, balance sheet, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyse margins by product line and identify areas for cost efficiencies and performance improvement.
- Support costing initiatives, budgeting for new projects, and preparation of grant or tender submissions.
- Oversee stock control processes to ensure accuracy and adequate levels.
- Review and streamline existing systems and processes across finance and administration.
- Oversight of administration function.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement digital transformation initiatives.
- Manage relationships with external IT providers, ensuring systems reliability and data security.
- Liaise with vendors, auditors, and external advisors as required.
- Deputise for management as needed and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
What are we looking for?
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting management role.
- Strong skills in budgeting, costing, and financial analysis.
- Experience with tenders, grant applications, or cost-based proposals advantageous.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with confidence to challenge and improve existing processes.
- Experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or distribution sectors desirable but not essential.
- Working knowledge of Sage and other business systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
