Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to join a leading financial services organisation in Limerick.

In this role, you’ll sit within a change practice that partners closely with Technology, Operations, Client Onboarding, Product and Relationship Management to deliver strategic and client-driven change from initiation through to successful rollout.

This is a fast-growing area with a strong pipeline of activity upcoming.

This is a 9-month contract position with some possibility of extension. The role offers a hybrid working model.

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities

  • Shape, coordinate and deliver process and systems enhancements in line with agreed scope and the project lifecycle.

  • Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to analyse requirements, define scope and produce clear documentation.

  • Build and maintain project plans; track milestones and deliverables; manage reviews and sign-offs in line with governance standards.

  • Produce high-quality Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and secure timely feedback/approval.

  • Proactively capture and manage risks, issues and dependencies; escalate with solution options when required.

  • Identify and drive productivity and process improvements to enhance client experience and reduce cost.

  • Ensure artefacts and dockets are complete; coordinate and evidence UAT, confirming acceptance criteria are met.

  • Assess business problems and prepare feasibility and cost-benefit recommendations.

  • Complete required SDLC documentation, support testing and assist with implementation and post-go-live activities.


What are we looking for?

  • Strong Business Analysis experience within financial services; transfer agency exposure is highly desirable.

  • Comfortable working with both Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and support decision-making.

  • Proven ability to build effective relationships across business and technology teams and with clients.

  • Excellent consultancy, interpersonal, organisational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Proficiency with MS Project, plus strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
