What you need to know
Our client, a long-established commercial company based in South Tipperary are recruiting a Bookkeeper.
This is an 11-month maternity cover role with the possibility of permanency. You will be reporting to the Financial Controller and Finance Director and working within the finance team.
Your new job
Accounting Responsibilities:
Maintain accuracy of the general ledger
Prepare and journal payroll to ledger
File PAYE and VAT Revenue returns
Manage accounts payable/reconciliations
Complete weekly payroll, obtain approval and summarise journal entry to ledger
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and assist in the year-end audits
Bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
Assist in monthly reporting
Other Admin Tasks:
Management of company fleet
Management of Subcontractor Insurance Database
Central point-of-contact for IT and broadband providers
What are we looking for?
3+ years as an Accounts Admin/Bookkeeper/Assistant or other relevant Accounts role
Part qualified Accounting Technician/QQI level accounts/admin qualification is an advantage
Excellent organisation skills with the ability to plan effectively
Collaborative and an excellent team player
Proficient in use of all Microsoft software and Accounts & Payroll software
Professional approach to working with confidential and sensitive information
